Who Am I?

Hi, I'm Chhavi - a software engineer with 3 years of hands-on development work in applying machine learning, data mining, and AI techniques in real-world applications.

Skilled in Python, data preprocessing, building scalable systems, model development, and evaluation. Experienced in collaborating on AI-powered recommendation, sentiment-analysis systems, chatbots, CNN-based face recognition, and LLM-powered translation and summarisation tools, demonstrating early-stage research interest.

A quick learner with strong analytical grounding, research acumen and a university rank holder, now aiming to pursue the MSc Data and Artificial Intelligence programme to strengthen theoretical foundations, explore applied research, and contribute to socially responsible research.

I have completed my Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, India. I gained a rigorous theoretical foundation in core computer science while developing a strong interest in machine learning, optimisation, and data-centric computing. Coursework, projects, and research-driven mentoring strengthened my mathematical reasoning, model-building skills, and understanding of AI systems end-to-end. As team leader,I led the development of a ResNet-based face recognition system to enable citizens to identify whether an unattended child is missing or not. Automated biometric matching by converting facial features into 128-d deep metric embeddings with 97% accuracy. Addressed citizens of India through All India Radio and shared my experience as a finalist at SIH 2022.

What inspires me outside of work?

Volunteered to tutor underprivileged children for ~30 hrs. Also, organised a Diwali celebration for 68 children at a local orphanage; arranged meals, decorations, and fireworks.
